NEW YORK (Reuters) – Job losses in the U.S. private sector accelerated in March, more than economists’ expectations, according to a report by ADP Employer Services on Wednesday.
Private employers cut jobs by a record 742,000 in March versus a 706,000 revised cut in February that was originally reported at 697,000 jobs, said ADP, which has been carrying out the survey since 2001.

Despite a wealth of evidence in the historical record to the contrary, Obama has nonetheless hit upon “big spending” as the “only” way for us to increase employment and turn around the economy.
Here’s the record:
How long are we going to permit this man to trash our economy? How long can we stand idly by why he runs up the tab on the backs of our children and our children’s children? How soon before we can definitively say THIS IS NOT WORKING? How long before responsible people start to stand up and say WE KNEW THIS WAS NOT GOING TO WORK BECAUSE IT HAS NEVER WORKED BEFORE?
Look at that chart. It’s chilling, isn’t it? What’s not listed is the record spending that FDR enacted on various (and often unconstitutional) public works projects and government jobs. What’s missing is the fact that he increased the highest marginal tax rate to something near 90% during this period. With no incentives to produce or to hire people, businesses did neither….and our national tragedy lingered for 12 long years…never slackening….never relenting….until WWII carried all those unemployed men off to their deaths.
Remember this when you hear someone on NPR compare BHO to FDR. Hint—it’s not a good thing.

This is what happens when you get a group of mostly lawyers — people who are more interested in how things sound, than what they mean — drive the process by which the business world has to operate. Then, when the business world points out some of the route causes of the problem outside of their own creation, those causes are denied and businesses are labelled as devious, corrupt, greedy etc — again, perception, not fact, becomes reality.
